Eligibility
To be eligible for our services, students must be currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities Campus, must have paid the Student Services Fee, and have a legal matter eligible for SLS services as described on the Advice and Representation page or in our Policy Handbook.
Schedule an Appointment
Please use this link to fill out an intake form. Once we receive your intake form our intake staff will verify your eligibility, and contact you via email to schedule an appointment and let you know what additional documents you need to provide prior to your appointment.
What to Expect
The majority of appointments are held remotely via Zoom, but you can request an in-person appointment. You’ll meet with either an attorney or a legal staff member for 30 minutes to an hour. We will do our best to accommodate your requests.

Office Hours
The SLS office is open to the public Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 3:30pm, and Fridays, from 9:00am to 2:00pm, except on University holidays. Our intake hours typically fall between 9:00am and 3:30pm.
